Big Snake

A magical and medicinal potion: Elixirs of life word prompt

Jesus is the elixir of life, the special spiritual brew we all long for. Life’s concoction with the right potion and sweet ingredients we all can use. With a mixture of the father, son, and holy ghost. These three together created the elixirs of life.

Receive their special potion fully and feel the magical, medicinal powers of God’s induced love upon your life. Abide in him, and he will in you.

Man is always looking for that euphoric fix, even if it is temporary. The brew of alcohol, the elixirs that come with, and through other known substances that some may use. Some may just get caught up in the overindulgence of lust or just consumed with greed, or selfishness.

His sacrifice for man so they may receive eternal life indefintely, having the elixirs of life more abundantly, and don’t have to depend just on our own device’s. So we’re not alone when the adversities come knocking at our door. Counting on the promises he made to be explored more, and he hopes not to be ignored. We were given free will and lead by his spirit to be able to enter into his kingdom that is being prepared and walking on the streets of gold. Through the pearly white gates and rainbows. A gift that is offered to us, and he will lift us ever so high above the sky.

At the beginning, God so created the heavens and earth and the beast within and after their kind, but with man, his prize creation , his brew, his elixer of life “a dab here, and a dab there” he blew life into the nostrils of man, and created him in his image. He then proceeded to create women from the rib of the man.

Then you know the story from there, a poison got mixed into the brew, desguised as a snake was mixed into the pot of the potter’s sweet exlixers of life, interfearing and messing with his magical potion that was mixed just right, his concoction, his creation, but not lost.

He counteracted with one of his special most sweet ingredient his one and only son who had the holy ghost and with her magical potions given from God to perform mighty miracles and medicinal power’s guaranteed to induce his love upon his people saving them from unrighteousness from the one sour ingredient that attempted to destroy his sweet potted brew and when it was made back to be just right again , he had spread his special brew throughout the land and it spread prolifically abroad to whom ever wanted a taste of that special magical, medicinal potion.

My mother had this story she told about a big huge garden snake that some how ended up in our house in the bath tub, she was so freaked out that she went and got my brother out of school to get rid of the snake and get it the hell out of our house. He didn’t mind playing with critters, rats, snakes, lizards. Part of our garage at one point was a pet store for horny toads, rats, and so on. She claimed it was the biggest snake she had ever seen, about a six footer.😂🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍

  4. People, what have you become? Are you Blue, or are you Red? Are you a lefty or a righty? A loser or a Winner? One will shed blood to defend you at all cost, the other will be destructive, angry and discontent. Others will be undivided and just want peace or refuge from violence. How in the World can there be any tranquility? Is this a Religious war or is a fight over Turf? What is mine is not yours. Some will give, others will take. What are you?

  5. Donald Trump recites a poem about a snake;must here. Of course, not all refugees are snakes, but America needs to make sure, may God bless the refugees who have to live in fear from unsafe circumstances. I am sure when more our vetted good, they will be allowed to come into America, if their own Countries were better to their people they would not have to escape.

  6. What are we here for: By:JL

The difficulties and challenges most all of us share can be overwhelming , choices we make in life can have great impact on our very own souls. We question our very existence at times, and wonder what its all about, and ask why! We try to give it our best shot, and worry about falling short. We talk to God, and we try to stay calm, and hope and gloat for better tomorrows. We try to hang in there, thrive, jive and hold on to our pride. We try not to ever give up, and when we can let go, let god, and let loose, and try not to get into situations that will cook our goose. We all have our moods that could easily be miscued. We are only human beings created to be free, and sent on our way due to a tree. A snake in the midst to trick us not to exist. Still asking what are we here for, is it to explore, and want more? Is it vanity and to hold on to our fantasies? Is it a lesson and to be a blessing? We laugh, we cry, we sing, we worship, we fight to be right. We sleep, and weep. What are we here for?

  7. It’s not always humility that defines being humble. We may seem to be humble, yet we lack humility. Once we can define between the two. Than we shall be rigroudly honest. I may lack true humility, yet I’m humble. Really, I am somewhere in between. I do not boast, but I am proud and some times, yes I brag. I am grateful for all I have, but never always so content. To streach the truth or flat out lie? Is the motive for self gain, or is it to yield before it’s due and accept the outcome? You may give a lot and receive little, or take what’s not yours and the gain is short lived. Humility is not walking away and feeling regret, but moving forward in honor. Being humble is not a rue, it’s how we handle situations without hurting others.😍😀😳🤓😎

  8. Don’t We All

    Inspirational Story – Author Unknown

I was parked in front of the mall wiping off my car. I had just come
from the car wash and was waiting for my wife to get out of work.
Coming my way from across the parking lot was what society would
    consider a bum.
From the looks of him, he had no car, no home, no clean clothes, and no
money. There are times when you feel generous but there are other times
that you just don’t want to be bothered. This was one of those “don’t
    want to be bothered times.”
“I hope he doesn’t ask me for any money,” I thought.
    He didn’t.
He came and sat on the curb in front of the bus stop but he didn’t look
like he could have enough money to even ride the bus.
After a few minutes he spoke.
“That’s a very pretty car,” he said.
He was ragged but he had an air of dignity around him. His scraggly
blond beard keep more than his face warm.
I said, “thanks,” and continued wiping off my car.

He sat there quietly as I worked. The expected plea for money never
As the silence between us widened something inside said, “ask him if
he needs any help.” I was sure that he would say “yes” but I held true
    to the inner voice.
“Do you need any help?” I asked.
He answered in three simple but profound words that I shall never forget.
We often look for wisdom in great men and women. We expect it from
those of higher learning and accomplishments.

    I expected nothing but an
outstretched grimy hand. He spoke the three words that shook me.
    “Don’t we all?” he said.

I was feeling high and mighty, successful and important, above a bum
in the street, until those three words hit me like a twelve gauge
    Don’t we all?
I needed help. Maybe not for bus fare or a place to sleep, but I
needed help. I reached in my wallet and gave him not only enough for bus
fare, but enough to get a warm meal and shelter for the day. Those
three little words still ring true. No matter how much you have, no matter
how much you have accomplished, you need help too. No matter how little you
have, no matter how loaded you are with problems, even without money or
a place to sleep, you can give help.

Even if it’s just a compliment, you can give that.
You never know when you may see someone that appears to have it all.
They are waiting on you to give them what they don’t have. A different
perspective on life, a glimpse at something beautiful, a respite from
daily chaos, that only you through a torn world can see.
Maybe the man was just a homeless stranger wandering the streets. Maybe
    he was more than that.

Maybe he was sent by a power that is great and
wise, to minister to a soul too comfortable in themselves.

Maybe God looked down, called an Angel, dressed him like a bum, then said, “go minister to that man cleaning the car, that man needs help.”
    Don’t we all?

  9. A Simple Lesson
A rat looked through a crack in the wall to see the farmer and his wife opening a package. What food might it contain? He was aghast to discover that it was a rat trap. Retreating to the farmyard the rat proclaimed the warning; “There is a rat trap in the house, a rat trap in the house!”

The chicken clucked and scratched, raised her head and said, “Excuse me, Mr. Rat, I can tell this is a grave concern to you, but it is of no consequence to me. I cannot be bothered by it.”
The rat turned to the pig and told him, “There is a rat trap in the house, a rat trap in the house!” “I am so very sorry Mr. Rat,” sympathized the pig, “but there is nothing I can do about it but pray. Be assured that you are in my prayers.”
The rat turned to the cow. She said, “Like wow, Mr. Rat. A rat trap. I am in grave danger. Duh?”
So the rat returned to the house, head down and dejected, to face the farmer’s rat trap alone. That very night a sound was heard throughout the house, like the sound of a rat trap catching its prey. The farmer’s wife rushed to see what was caught. In the darkness, she did not see that it was a venomous snake whose tail the trap had caught. The snake bit the farmer’s wife.

The farmer rushed her to the hospital. She returned home with a fever. Now everyone knows you treat a fever with fresh chicken soup, so the farmer took his hatchet to the farmyard for the soup’s main ingredient. His wife’s sickness continued so that friends and neighbors came to sit with her around the clock. To feed them the farmer butchered the pig.
The farmer’s wife did not get well. She died, and so many people came for her funeral that the farmer had the cow slaughtered to provide meat for all of them to eat.
So the next time you hear that someone is facing a problem and think that it does not concern you, remember that when there is a rat trap in the house, the whole farmyard is at risk.

  10. Because I have experienced it, and have seen the results, should qualify me to share my findings.
Never trust the weather man, It’s snowing in Seattle! 😜 CNN says this and FOX says that. I know where I stand and that is that.
I’ve had a good few friends and a whole bunch bad. Snakes in the grass and Angels 👼👼 from above. Some I gave, others I took. For every bad deed and mistake, a lesson was learned. You seek what you sow.and you sow what you reap.
Good comes from the heart 💜❤️. Evil erupts from anger. Love is simple, hatred not so. Lost love, jealousy, and greed breeds I’ll. To give and expect nothing returns favor.
Not all men are egual, but where created that way. We devoloped our differences in our own sinful ways.
As we mature and gain knowledge of these things it stands to reason. I will keep giving, can they quit taking? Can I forgive them when others forgave me?
I’ve said this before, I’ll say it again; I see it this way, you see it that. 😜😳😍😇🤓😎

  11. We can grumble about an obstacle or we can try to move the obstacle by initiating solutions:
    2. The Obstacle in our Path

There once was a very wealthy and curious king. This king had a huge boulder placed in the middle of a road. Then he hid nearby to see if anyone would try to remove the gigantic rock from the road.

The first people to pass by were some of the king’s wealthiest merchants and courtiers. Rather than moving it, they simply walked around it. A few loudly blamed the King for not maintaining the roads. Not one of them tried to move the boulder.

Finally, a peasant came along. His arms were full of vegetables. When he got near the boulder, rather than simply walking around it as the others had, the peasant put down his load and tried to move the stone to the side of the road. It took a lot of effort but he finally succeeded.

The peasant gathered up his load and was ready to go on his way when he say a purse lying in the road where the boulder had been. The peasant opened the purse. The purse was stuffed full of gold coins and a note from the king. The king’s note said the purse’s gold was a reward for moving the boulder from the road.

The king showed the peasant what many of us never understand: every obstacle presents an opportunity to improve our condition.

  12. Get Up
Bringing a giraffe into the world is a tall order. A baby giraffe falls 10 feet from its mother’s womb and usually lands on its back. Within seconds it rolls over and tucks its legs under its body. From this position it considers the world for the first time and shakes off the last vestiges of the birthing fluid from its eyes and ears. Then the mother giraffe rudely introduces its offspring to the reality of life.

In his book, “A View from the Zoo”, Gary Richmond describes how a newborn giraffe learns its first lesson.

The mother giraffe lowers her head long enough to take a quick look. Then she positions herself directly over her calf. She waits for about a minute, and then she does the most unreasonable thing. She swings her long, pendulous leg outward and kicks her baby, so that it is sent sprawling head over heels.

When it doesn’t get up, the violent process is repeated over and over again. The struggle to rise is momentous. As the baby calf grows tired, the mother kicks it again to stimulate its efforts. Finally, the calf stands for the first time on its wobbly legs.

Then the mother giraffe does the most remarkable thing. She kicks it off its feet again. Why? She wants it to remember how it got up. In the wild, baby giraffes must be able to get up as quickly as possible to stay with the herd, where there is safety. Lions, hyenas, leopards, and wild hunting dogs all enjoy young giraffes, and they’d get it too, if the mother didn’t teach her calf to get up quickly and get with it.

The late Irving Stone understood this. He spent a lifetime studying greatness, writing novelized biographies of such men as Michelangelo, Vincent van Gogh, Sigmund Freud, and Charles Darwin.

Stone was once asked if he had found a thread that runs through the lives of all these exceptional people. He said, “I write about people who sometime in their life have a vision or dream of something that should be accomplished and they go to work.

“They are beaten over the head, knocked down, vilified, and for years they get nowhere. But every time they’re knocked down they stand up. You cannot destroy these people. And at the end of their lives they’ve accomplished some modest part of what they set out to do.”

  13. The Story of an EAGLE:

The Eagle has the longest life-span of its species. It can live up to 70 years. But to reach this age, the eagle must make a very difficult decision!

In its 40th year, the eagle’s long and flexible Talons can no longer grab a prey which serves as food. Its long and sharp beak becomes bent.

Its old-aged and heavy wings, due to their thick feathers, stick to its chest and make it difficult to fly.

Then, the eagle is left with only two options: DIE or go through a painful process of CHANGE!

This process lasts for 150 days (5 months).

The process requires the eagle to fly to a mountain top and sit on its nest. There the eagle knocks its beak against a rock until it plucks it out.

Then the eagle will wait for the new beak to grow back after which it will pluck out its talons. When its talons grow back, the eagle starts plucking its old aged feathers.

And after this the eagle takes its famous flight of rebirth and LIVES for 30 more years!!

    Why is Change needed???

In order to survive and live.

We too have to start the change process.

We sometimes need to get rid of the unpleasant old memories, negative habits and our fixed mind set.

Only when freed from the past burdens can we take advantage of the present.

If an eagle can make a life saving and life changing decision at the age of 40, why can’t we?

In order to take on a new journey ahead, let go of your negative old limiting beliefs.

Open up your mind and let yourself fly high like an eagle!

When it rains, all birds occupy shelter. But the EAGLE avoids the rain by flying above the clouds!

The problem is common to all but the attitude to solve it makes the difference.

Don’t be afraid of change. Accept it gracefully.

My questions to you is this!

Do you want to fly with the eagles or scratch with the turkeys?

  14. Just unbelievable what has happened,, and what is happening in politics these day’s.. People are getting caught when they are doing dasterdly deeds. The motive: It would have to be self gain. It is just something that has not been seen like this before.!

  15. And the great dragon was thrown down, the serpent of old who is called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him. Revelations 12:9

  16. A man & his four wives:

There was a man who had 4 wives, he loved the fourth one very dearly, he would get her the nicest dress. He would get her the nicest jewellery, he would dress her very nicely and entertain with her all the time. She loved him, he loved her.
He also loved the third wife. The third wife was also dear to him, he would give her everything, she was the one who controlled everything in his life.
He also loved the second wife, he was also confident in her, she was the one to whom he would tell all his personal matters, he would always talk to his second wife about life.
His first wife was there, he wasn’t too attached to her, she was always there, she was modest, always trying her best to show herself.
One day the man fell ill and he was on his death bed, all of his wives were gathered around him, he said “Now look, my beautiful wives, I don’t want to die alone, who of you will come to me?”
He called his fourth wife and said “You are the dearest to my heart, I have always loved you, I have given you the best of all, now the time has come for me to die, will you come with me? would you come with me?” The wife said “No” and turned back and went away. His heart was broken into pieces.
Sadly he called his third wife to the front and said “I am going to die, will you come with me?” to that she said “No way, the moment you die, I am going with somebody else” she turned her back and went away.
He called his 2nd wife and asked her the same question, she said “I am sorry that you are dying, but I can only come up to your cemetery, I will be with you until there” and turned back to stand in her place.
From behind he heard a voice “I will come with you”, he looked at his first wife and felt sad, he said “My dear I have always neglected you, you look so skinny, now my life has come to an end, I wish I knew you loved me more than anybody when I was healthy. I feel very sad I neglected you all this time” and died.
In the story, 4th wife represents the body and its craving, which we lose when we die. The 3rd wife represent wealth, which others get after one leaves body. The 2nd wife all the friends and family who can only come up to the grave. The 1st wife represents the soul (or mind), it is always there but unnoticed, the most dearest and important one is ignored and one often realizes it only at the end of life.
Now is the time to strive spiritually, take all the chances you get and benefit. Before the oil of life is completely lost.
[This is a variation of the story from the sermon of Buddha. The essence is still intact. Main difference would be that in this story 1st wife doesn’t represent karma or mind that one has to carry with them]

  17. “We can’t change behaviors if we aren’t aware of them. If we want happiness and lasting relationships, we must embrace the impermanent nature of all things, including ourselves. We must accept that it’s okay to constantly change and grow, to let go of outdated ideas or beliefs. We waste years pining for “the one” without ever realizing that our idea of “the one” is based on some ridiculous idea of a person who conforms to our quirks and demands, rather than considering how we can shift ourselves to align with another when they come into our life. We give up on others because they don’t fit our idea of perfection, or they trigger a response in us.”

  18. Claim your wild

Become the wild, unbridled expression of feminine rage and passion. It must rise from the belly of the collective’s deepest wound. The burnt at the stake, raped and pillaged, shamed and scarlet shadowed suppression.
Beckon the roar of the dragon in the womb of patriarchal denial of the creatrix. Wake up the beast from the old destruction, lean into the sword of truth’s blade and slice through the scales of your calloused buried tenderness.
Have faith in the power of the boundless vulnerability. Be seen. You are softness and pure innocent light. You are stardust manifest in creation’s expression of beauty.
    You are sensual captivation.
Pour forth mistress, let your voice screech and shatter the bulletproof casing around your most sacred spaces. Unleash her power, stand alongside the protectors of the watery and drenched Earthbodies.

    We are ashes no more.
    We rise.
We are dancers of the light.

    Nichole Desjardins

  19. Dear Friend’s, it troubles me to see such ridiculous riff amongst us. The media outlets hpave became political outlets that serve their own interests. Big business. They collect profit from advertisers and special interest groups. They are attracting you and sucking you in, successfully. It’s no longer News, but big entertainment. They all have their Stars to push its agenda. They say as told, or become unemployed. Posting Anti, or Pro Trump messages only fuel their income, but divides and separates us from each other and stirs Civil uprest. Weather we should disagree or agree. United We Stand, Divided We fall. 🙏✌😍🤓😎

Really funny. They pushed for an independent investigation. They got it, now they’re bitching. CNN is running scared. They can’t cover their asses any longer. No It’s not Trump folks. This goes much deeper. I’m afraid to say, when all is done, some of the Instgaters with be going to prison. Won’t be Trump, or Obama,

  20. Do all dogs really go to heaven: When we were at Love Inn (our ministry work in upstate New York) our dog was a Border Collie, Alfie. He was the best Christian in the place. He was hit by a car trying to cross highway Rt.13, and Nedra still cries about him. She was telling Alfie stories last week and cried.

Then subsequently we had Lady, (looked like Lassie) she was “dog napped.” Our next dog was Golda, a Golden Retriever. My youngest son Ryan used to sleep on her. She eventually died of old age. All of these dogs were loving, devoted, and faithful.

So, do animals have spirits? Here are some Bible verses and God’s perspective:

“Ask the animals, and they will teach you…In God’s hand is the life of every creature, and the breath of all mankind.” (Job 12:7 and10)

“A righteous man cares for the needs of his animal.” (Proverbs 12:10) Not many people think of measuring righteousness by this standard.

And in regard to the question are there animals in heaven:

Ecclesiastes 3:19: “After all, the same fate awaits human beings and animals alike. One dies just like the other. They are the same kind of creature. A human being is no better off than an animal, because life has no meaning for either.”

Eccl 3:20: “They are both going to the same place—the dust. They both came from it; they will both go back to it.”

Eccl 3:21: “How can anyone be sure that the human spirit goes upward while an animal’s spirit goes down into the ground?”

Of course, the human animal can make choices in regard to God/Jesus, but not the four legged beasts. But Scripture is pretty clear that there will be animals in the new world after He folds this one up.

I remember years ago, while broadcasting on radio in upstate New York, having a young girl calling me on the air. She was crying because her dog was sick. She asked me to pray for her dog. I had never done that before, but she was so desperate, I did it. Some people called me and said I shouldn’t have done that, because God wasn’t involved in healing animals. Those folks apparently didn’t know God very well. Because a short time later the young girl called back laughing and excited saying her dog was better!

I have prayed for many animals since then.

The Scripture says He knows about every bird that falls to the ground too. God does care about animals. As a matter of fact there are some churches that hold a blessing of the animal’s service. “God’s hand is in the life of every creature.”

  21. The Cockroach

At a restaurant, a cockroach suddenly flew from somewhere and sat on a lady.

She started screaming out of fear.

With a panic stricken face and trembling voice, she started jumping, with both her hands desperately trying to get rid of the cockroach.

Her reaction was contagious, as everyone in her group also got panicky.

The lady finally managed to push the cockroach away but… it landed on another lady in the group.

Now, it was the turn of the other lady in the group to continue the drama.

The waiter rushed forward to their rescue. In the relay of throwing, the cockroach next fell upon the waiter.

The waiter stood firm, composed himself and observed the behavior of the cockroach on his shirt. When he was confident enough, he grabbed it with his fingers and threw it out of the restaurant.

Sipping my coffee and watching the amusement, the antenna of my mind picked up a few thoughts and started wondering, was the cockroach responsible for their histrionic behavior?

If so, then why was the waiter not disturbed? He handled it near to perfection, without any chaos.

It is not the cockroach, but the inability of those people to handle the disturbance caused by the cockroach, that disturbed the ladies.

I realized that, it is not the shouting of my father or my boss or my wife that disturbs me, but it’s my inability to handle the disturbances caused by their shouting that disturbs me.

It’s not the traffic jams on the road that disturbs me, but my inability to handle the disturbance caused by the traffic jam that disturbs me.

More than the problem, it’s my reaction to the problem that creates chaos in my life.IT IS IN OUR POWER!!!!!The reaction that we choose to project in every situation or circumstance in our life.
